  • What is HappCo about?
    HappCo was created as a means to ending human suffering by helping people embrace their Higher Self and positively transform their lives. HappCo's guided meditation program focuses upon helping people develop the ability and skills to connect with their Higher Self, and minimize the involvement of their ego-mind. This is also known as Enlightenment. Dr. Zachary Berk makes the claim that a form of Enlightenment can be achieved by being a consistent meditator and going on the HappCo Meditation Journey. What makes HappCo’s meditation program so unique is that it's a comprehensive, spiritually guided journey to Enlightenment that utilizes an app-based platform and companion guide (book).
  • Who created HappCo?
    HappCo was founded in 2011 by Dr. Zachary Berk. Dr. Zach worked diligently for several years developing mobile apps for HappCo's personal and business meditation programs. Combined, they total 400 meditations and over 150 hours. The meditations are evenly split between the personal self-development and business versions of the app.
  • Who is Dr. Zachary Berk?
    Dr. Zach is the founder of HappCo, and creator of the HappCo Meditation Journey. He's also the author to the mobile app companion guide, "Embracing Your Higher Self: A Practical guide to Enligtenment". Click here read more about Dr. Zach.
  • What is the HappCo Meditation Journey?
    The HappCo Meditation Journey (HMJ) is a unique guided meditation program comprised of over 200 meditations. Users are guided through a 12 part meditative series by Dr. Zachary Berk. Each series explores something new to keep your experiences fresh and exciting! Users will discover emotional intelligence, mind and body integration, loving kindness meditations and more. The goal is that by the end of your journey, you too will have achieved Enlightenment! You'll also have developed a life-long meditation habit. Dr. Zach's book, "Embracing Your Higher Self: A Practical Guide to Enlightenment", is a companion guide to the mobile app. Though it's not required, incorporating the book into your meditations will enhance your overall experience and understanding of the HappCo Meditation Journey. Users who purchase an app subscription are instantly rewarded with a digital copy of the book, along with being able to acesss it anytime within the app!
  • How is HappCo different from other meditation apps out there? Like Calm or Headspace?
    While there are a lot of meditation apps out there, including Calm and Headspace, none of them provide any life-changing, long term benefits such as Enlightenment. When you take into account the amount of meditations (over 200 hours), the available companion guide (book), and the personal meditation coaches (HappCoaches), it's easy to see how the HappCo Meditation Journey stands above the rest!
  • Who is this for?
    The HappCo Meditation Journey is for everyone. Experienced meditators and those new to meditation will find themselves right at home.
  • How do the meditations work?
    The HappCo meditation Journey is a guided journey. The journey is designed to lead you through a 12 part series, comprised of over 200 meditations! Users are guided through each meditation, one by one, by Dr. Zachary Berk. There are also meditation coaches (HappCoaches) available to help you along your journey.
  • Do I have to read the book (companion guide) while doing the meditations?
    No. The companion guide is optional. However, you'll find that it greatly enhances your experience and understanding of meditation. It's the perfect additon to the HappCo Meditation Journey, and is available in the app with a subscription purchase. You can also purchase the book stand-alone here.
  • What do I need to complete the meditations?
    The app is all you need! Of course, you'll also want a quiet space to do your meditations.
  • I don't know how to meditate. Is that okay?
    Yes! The HappCo Meditaiton Journey isn't just for experienced meditators. It's great for beginners as it focuses on helping you develop and keep a meditation habit. You'll learn all about awareness, breathing technique, and more. There's also meditation coaches (HappCoaches) available to help you as well!
  • How many meditations are there?
    The HappCo Meditation journey is comprised of 203 meditations in total.
  • How much time should I spend meditating each day?
    Each meditation averages around 22 minutes in length. Therefore, less than 30 minutes a day is sufficient.
  • Is there any proof that meditation actually works?
    The psychological and physiological effects of meditation have been studied for years. Modern instruments, such as fMRI and EEG, are able to observe brain physiology and neural activity in living subjects, either during the act of meditation itself or before and after meditation. Based on these studies, it is concluded there is sufficient evidence that meditation programs can reduce anxiety, depression, and pain.
  • I've tried meditation before and I always quit. How can you help me?
    The HappCo Meditaiton Journey is designed to help you develop a daily meditation habit. You can even set daily and weekly meditation reminders that integrate with your calendar, directly from within the app! Developing and maintaining a meditation habit becomes easier when it's part of your daily schedule. If that's not enough, there are meditation coaches available to help you as well. Talk about support!
  • I'm very critical of myself. Will this help stop all the negative thoughts?
    Negative thoughts stem from our ego-mind. Everyone has one. The ego-mind is something you will learn and hear Dr. Zach talk about during your meditations. One of the key components to the HappCo Meditation Journey is how it deals with the ego-mind, and teaches meditators how to take back control. In time, you'll begin to shift your thoughts from negative to positive naturally.
  • I'm a stressed or anxious person. Will this help me?
    In short, yes. Incorporating meditation into your daily schedule can have amazing benefits for your mental health. Meditation restores our mental equilibrium and invites calmness.
  • What is a HappCoach?
    A HappCoach is an experienced, personal meditation coach. HappCoaches work directly with you to help you develop a meditation habit, and improve your overall meditative experience. Coaches learn about the people they work with and create customized meditation plans to suit who they are and their lifestyle needs. Our coaches help people focus on the key components to meditation like breath awareness, bodily sensations, feelings and insight. They also help you develop lifelong skills that aid in your journey to Enlightenment like mindfulness and self-discipline.
  • Are HappCoaches certified or licensed?
    HappCoaches use communication, mindfulness and positive psychology as a means to support people developing a meditation habit. The reasons people interrupt their habit, or quit is for personal reasons. Therefore, coaches are going to be drawn into the meditators' personal life and challenges. Our HappCoaches are experienced meditators, in addtion to being certified or licensed from one or more of the professional groups listed below.   • When can I speak with my HappCoach?
    When you purchase a premium app subscription, you are assigned a coach within minutes. The typical response time is less than 10 minutes, however this can vary depending on the time of day. If it's outside of your coaches' working hours, they will respond to you during the next business day.
  • How do I communicate with my HappCoach?
    Once you are assigned a coach, you will be able to chat with them in the app an unlimited number of times. Your meditaiton coach is also avaialable by video for a personal consultation, or meditation session once a month via Zoom. If you are interested in a Zoom session with your coach, just let them know and they'll send you an invite. Your coach may also request a session if they feel it's necessary. Zoom sessions are completely optional.
  • Am I allowed to pick my HappCoach?
    HappCoaches are assigned automatically. At any point your HappCoach may suggest transferring you to a different coach, if they believe they will be better suited for you. You may also request a different HappCoach by sending an email to When requesting a new HappCoach, be sure to include the following: The email address associated with your account The reason for your request What you are looking for in your next coach (personality & skills) We will do our best to accomodate your request, but cannot guarantee the final outcome.
  • What is Enlightenment?
    Dr. Zach defines Enlightenment as being able to maintain the connection with your Higher Self, not just while meditating, but for most of your day.
  • Can a beginner to meditation learn Enlightenment?
    Almost anyone can learn anything, given enough time. Enlightenment is no different. The HappCo Meditation Journey is designed to help both new and experienced meditators reach Enlightenment through a series of guided meditations.
  • What does Enlightenment feel like?
    Enlightenment is an activation of higher consciousness, or your Higher Self. It happens as we become more aligned with our mind and body. When we meditate consistently, it strengthens the mind-body connection. Enlightenment brings an awareness that allows us to choose how we experience each moment in our lives. Feelings of Enlightenment can be described as: inner stillness and peace less reactivity to unpleasant situations an inner bliss that isn’t dependent on outer circumstances a strong and authentic sense of who you really are at your core a significant reduction in unhealthy stress an increase in creativity a strong sense of belonging or purpose increased self-esteem, trust, and acceptance clarity in your life purpose
  • Don't you need a guru to find Enlightenment?
    This is a common misconception. Enlightenment is for everyone. If you are serious about developing your meditation habit, then Enlightenment is within reach.
  • Why meditation for Enlightenment? Is there another way?
    To reach Enlightenment you must be free of the ego-mind. The reason meditation is so effective is because it teaches all the techniques to combat the ego-mind. Awareness, bodily sensations, feelings, insight, self discipline and thoughts are all explored during meditation.
  • How long do I have to meditate to reach Enlightenment?
    There isn't a specific answer for this, as everyone's needs and where they're at experience wise is different. Everyone's meditation journey is unique. The goal of the HappCo Meditation Journey, is that by the end you will have achieved a form of Enlightenment.
  • What is the Higher Self?
    Your Higher Self is your true consciousness. It is comprised of love, compassion, joy, inner peace, and intuitive wisdom. These are also referred to as the 5 pillars of the Higher Self, which are explored in Dr. Zach's book and compaion guide to the mobile app, "Embracing Your Higher Self: A Practical Guide to Enlightenment".
  • What is the ego-mind?
    The ego-mind is a powerful illusion. It's the voice that tricks us into thinking we're something that we're not. It's a major culprit for your feelings of anxiety, depression, doubt, worry and more. The ego-mind operates in the past, and future, but never the present. Its goal is to distract you from the present, from reality.
  • Why is the ego-mind a bad thing?
    As long as the ego-mind is in control, your Higher Self cannot come forth. This will make Enightenment extremely difficult if not impossible to achieve. The longer we let the ego-mind dominate our connsciousness, the longer we suffer through feelings of anxiety, doubt, etc.
  • I'm not a spiritual person, but I want to find peace. Will this help me?"
    Yes. There is more to meditation than the spiritual aspects. Meditation helps us, physically, mentally, and emotionally. It encourages us to let go of the past, stop worrying about the future, and instead focus on the present. The HappCo Meditation Journey is designed to help you shed the negative perceptions you have about yourself. In the process, you'll experience love, compassion, joy, inner peace, and intuitive widom.
  • How can meditating help me become more spiritual?
    While meditation is a great way to relieve stress and relax, it's also perfect for clearing your mind and deepening the connection to your Higher Self. Meditation forces us to slow down, focus within, and become aware of ourselves. It releases and settles our thoughts and emotions, while helping us realize who we really are. Even people who don't consider themselves to be spiritual can experience a "spiritual awakening" through meditation.
  • How is being spiritual different from being religious?
    The terms “religion” and “spirituality” are often used interchangeably, but they are entirely separate concepts. The key difference between religion and spirituality is believing versus being. Religion focuses on beliefs and how those beliefs play out in peoples' lives. Spirituality is about becoming attuned to one’s inner self. In most cases, religion requires people to be strict with their beliefs, keeping them fixed to scriptures or what is taught to them by religious leaders. Spirituality teaches people to connect with their Higher Self and use it as a guide in their life.
  • I'm not a religious or spiritual person, can I still do your program?"
    Absolutely! The HappCo Meditation Journey is for everyone. Being religious or spiritual is not a requirement. The focus is on the meditaitons and helping you to develop a daily meditation habit.
  • How much does it cost?
    There are 3 plans available to choose from. Free, Plus, and Premium. Free: free forever Plus: $9 per month, or $89 per year for a 25% savings. Premium: $29 per month, or $199 per year for a 45% savings.
  • What's included in each subscription plan?
    Free: The free plan allows you access to 10 different meditations. Each sample meditation comes straight from the HappCo Meditation Journey, allowing you to experience a taste of 10 different meditation series. You may use the meditation reminder feature and progress tracker. Plus: The plus plan allows you to experience the complete HappCo Meditation Journey. Not only will you get access to over 200 meditations, you'll also be given a digital copy of Dr. Zach's book, "Embracing Your Higher Self: A Practical Guide to Enlightenment".   • How am I billed?
    Subscriptions are recurring and charged automatically on the due date. Monthly subscriptions renew every 30 days. Yearly subscriptions renew once a year.

  • How do I redeem a promo code?
